GAV’S WEATHER | ONE DAY OF RAIN LEFT TO GET THROUGH

It’s in incredible looking satellite image tonight as the two weather systems collide.

Widespread steady to moderate rain has been falling cross most of NSW, southern QLD and the ACT.

The threat of heavy periods of rain will return to northern NSW.

The final act of this extraordinary weather event will unfold over the next 24 hours as the the huge inland rain system collides with the coastal event it is literally the meeting of two atmospheric oceans over eastern Australia.

Widespread rain with isolated heavy periods and thunder will be expected overnight and building into tomorrow.

The east coast deluge will finally come to an end on Wednesday.
