Meanwhile, the wet weather is bringing an early end to the Bush Fire Danger Period on the Far North Coast.
From March 1, fire permits will no longer be required for the Northern Rivers region, from Tweed to the Clarence Valley.
The RFS has warned that despite the favourable conditions, residents burning off should still be cautious, and ensure they’re abiding by the law.
