BARNABY JOYCE WINS NEW ENGLAND PRE-SELECTION

Senator Barnaby Joyce will take on Federal Independent MP Tony Windsor for the New South Wales seat of New England.

Senator Joyce was the favourite to win the pre-selection race against 34-year-old software entrepreneur David Gregory and did so shortly after 1pm today.

Senator Joyce will now have to resign from the Senate by the time writs are issued for the September 14 election, and the Queensland Liberal Nationals will have to find a replacement for the Senate vacancy.

At the last national ballot MR Windsor run as an independent candidate with a true independent non party platform

The good people of new england super endorsed his nomination with more than half the voters within the electoral boundaries of new england sending him once again off to the capital to represent them and make fairminded decisions for the people who put him there
Where or why do you feel you have been BETRAYED ?
Do you even live within the new england boundaries ?

  3. I have been following the New England electorate carefully and I can see there are a few other independent running for the seat. I took a look at the 21st Century Australia Party candidate Jamie McIntyre. There 25 point policy seems fresh and modern. Maybe we should start looking past the 2 major’s running in the area!
