A 21 year old Queensland man is behind bars after a violent incident at the McDonalds Restaurant in Ballina last night.
Police say he entered the store armed with a knife, shortly before 9pm, and allegedly threatened staff before damaging property.
“It was very good the staff and customers were able to leave without injury,” said Inspector Mark Minehan.
He was arrested on scene, and will face Lismore Bail Court tomorrow.
