FLYING DOCTOR SERVICE ASKS PARTYGOERS TO TAKE CARE THIS NEW YEAR

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is asking partygoers to take care tonight.

The organisation says it usually sees a spike in callouts on New Years.

Last year, the service made 45 flights in the 24 hours between December 31st and January 1st – spending almost 400 hours in the air.

206 patients were transferred to hospital for various illnesses and injuries.

The service says it’ll be on-call right across Australia but is asking New Years revellers to take good care of themselves and their friends.
