Drivers needing to travel to this area can use the Gwydir and Oxley highways instead, but it will add about two hours to your journey.

Summerland Way is closed between Clarence Way in Mountain View and Ellangowan Road in Casino.

Drivers travelling between Grafton and Casino can use Big River Way, the Pacific Highway and Bruxner Highway instead.

The route is suitable for all vehicles, but will add around one hour travel time.

Tweed Valley Way is closed between Chinderah and Tumbulgum, and drivers can use Clothiers Creek Road instead.

As conditions continue to change, the message to everyone from authorities is to follow the directions of emergency services and traffic crews in the affected areas.
