RUTHERFORD’S BIG GRAFFITI CLEAN-UP

A crew of good samaritans has helped to spruce up a graffiti-covered laneway at Rutherford.

Yesterday, the team – headed by the Rutherford Telarah Rotary Club – got to work with paint, chemicals and elbow grease, removing tags from fences and the footpath.

It was a multi-agency effort, coordinated by Rutherford Technology High School and the Port Stephens Hunter District Police crime prevention unit and youth command.

Maitland PCYC supplied the transport.

If you’re a victim of graffiti you can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or your local police station.
