Police are urging people to keep a lookout for 60-year-old Lake Macquarie resident Patrick Thaiday, who wandered off from his Macquarie Hills home on Sunday.
Mr Thaiday suffers from diabetes and dementia and was last seen wearing a grey ‘Everlast’ jumper and track pants.
Police say they hold grave concerns for his welfare.
“He’s wandered off on about 8 occasions in the past 12 months but he’s usally found within 24-48 hours, but on this occassion we’re approaching three days now and that’s very unusual,” said Chief Inspector Dave Matthews.
Anyone who sees Mr Thaiday should contact police.
