POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION AFTER BODY RECOVERED AT SNAPPER POINT BLOW HOLE

UPDATE: The death of a woman, whose body was found in a blow hole on the Central Coast, is now being treated as suspicious.

Emergency services were called to Snapper Point in the Munmorah State Conservation area this morning, after the discovery of a body face down in the water.

Detectives have begun an investigation into the woman’s death, and are now appealing for information from the public. Police would especially like to hear from anyone who has visited the National Park in recent days.

The unidentified woman is described as being of Asian appearance and believed to be between 20 and 35 years of age, and approximately 170cm tall.


 

A woman’s body has been recovered from a blowhole on the Central Coast.

Emergency services were called to Snapper Point at around 10:30am, after the discovery of a body floating face down.

Police recovered the remains with the assistance of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

A crime scene has been established, and an investigation is underway.

The woman has not been identified, and the cause of death is not yet known.
