TAMWORTH PRAISED FOR MINDFUL WATER CONSUMPTION

Tamworth residents are being praised for their mindful water consumption.

Council has been impressed by recent usage, with the city average sitting at just over 17 megalitres of water usage per day.

It comes just weeks after Tamworth, Moonbi and Kootingal moved to Level 3 restrictions, which come with a daily target of 21 megalitres.

Chaffey Dam must hit 35 per cent capacity before restrictions can be eased further.

As of yesterday, it was just over 33 percent.
