The wheels are rolling once again at Tamworth City BMX Club, with $500,000 in federal funding announced today.
The money will help the club in remediating its track, which closed earlier this year when asbestos was found.
The funding will be delivered through two rounds of the government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
Upgrades will include the removal of the contaminated surface as well as reshaping, capping and resurfacing the track.
Work is expected to be finished by mid-2021.
