Staff of Kempsey’s KFC have been left shaken, after four men armed with knives broke into the Smith Street restaurant last night.
At around 10 o’clock, the men who had their faces covered, threatened staff, demanding cash.
The group was unable to access the safe, but left with the personal belongings of staff members in a stolen Toyota Corolla.
The car was later found burnt out in bushland along Horatio Braham Place in South Kempsey.
The men are described as being tall and thin.
