ARMIDALE RANGERS RECEIVE GROWING COMPLAINTS OVER UNRESTRAINED DOGS

Armidale Council has been receiving a growing number of complaints regarding unrestrained dogs.

As more people get outside in the warmer weather, rangers are urging pet-owners to be follow the rules.

Dog-owners who unleash their pets in public areas, such as sporting ovals and cycleways, are at risk of a hefty fine.

Council says there are a number of designated off-leash areas around the city for four-legged friends to enjoy.
