A local contractor has been hired to commence a clean-up of Mungindi’s main street.
The town’s supermarket, butcher and clothing store were destroyed in a devastating fire earlier this month.
The contractor has been commissioned to undertake the work on behalf of the business owners’ insurers.
It’ll establish a plant in the town before starting a targeted clean-up at the butcher next month.
Once the site has been cleared, the affected business owners will be free to rebuild.
