NORTHERN RIVERS ROADS WORSE THAN STATE AVERAGE

The NRMA is calling for an increase in blackspot funding, to help clear a $650-million backlog in road works on the Northern Rivers.

A recent audit of infrastructure across New South Wales shows more than 30 percent of needed upgrades are situated in the Far North Coast.

“Of about seven councils in this region, five of them are worse than the State average, so it’s pretty bad in this neck of the woods, could be a combination of weather, population growth and historical under funding.”
