Former coach of the now defunct Blaze basketball team, Joey Wright, will be staying on the Gold Coast after accepting a new position in the sport.
The American, who moved here with a young family, has been appointed operations manager of the Seahawks Gold Coast Basketball Association at Runaway Bay.
Wright hasn’t ruled out a return to the NBL, but says he’s looking forward to moving on.
