GAV’S WEATHER | STRONG COASTAL WINDS AND HUGE SWELL

An impressive cloud band is sitting over the Tasman, revealing the low as it batters the east coast.

Newcastle’s Nobbys Head recorded a top wind gust of 93km/h today, and large swell will continue to hammer the shoreline over the coming days.

The low is moving slowly, tracking to centre its self in the Tasman.

The system will continue to produce strong winds and showers along the coast from Port Macquarie to Gosford.

It will be fine elsewhere across the region, with moderate to strong winds.
