Lee Winkler was the stand-out surfer at a local competition hosted by the Coffs Harbour Boardriders.
Organisers say it attracted the biggest roll-up of competitors and spectators in years.
The enthusiasm was attributed to the club taking out the teams event at the Australian Boardriders Battle last month, and finishing second overall.
Club President Lee Winkler said, “We’ve just got so many people that want to help out and they’re all positive and they’re all behind the same cause and you know just keep the momentum going.”
