WORKS COMMENCE ON DUMARESQ DAM WALL UPGRADE

Upgrades to the Dumaresq Dam wall have begun.

Armidale Regional Council has confirmed contractors are now on site.

They’ll drain the dam’s water level by two metres to allow for construction to take place.

The project will involve strengthening the dam wall, to ensure it remains stable and safe during major flooding.

The upgrades will cost council $3-million.
