MAN HIT BY CAR ON PACIFIC HIGHWAY

A man is in a serious but stable condition after being struck by a vehicle travelling at 100km/h on the Pacific Highway in the Northern Rivers.

Just after 6pm yesterday, the 30-year-old was walking along the highway when he was hit by a Toyota LandCruiser.

Police, along with NSW Ambulance treated the man for arm and leg injuries as well as lacerations to his torso.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter transported the man to Gold Coast University Hospital.

The 29-year-old driver of the Toyota was taken to Ballina Hospital for mandatory testing.
