MAN CHARGED OVER SERVO AXE ROBBERY

A North Gosford man has been charged with armed robbery, after allegedly storming a service station with an axe.

The 20-year-old is accused of threatening a female staff member at the Wyoming Caltex, around 9:30 last night.

Thankfully, no one was injured during the terrifying ordeal, but the man took off with a sum of cash.

He faced a magistrate today on armed robbery offences, and was refused bail to return to court in August.
