GAV’S WEATHER | WINTER IS COMING

Cloud is building off the north-west coast of Western Australia as sea surface temperatures increase.

In the south-east it’s the opposite, with a blast of cold winter winds making its way towards the region triggering showers. Jet stream cloud is clearing from Queensland.

Overnight the front will pass, triggering some shower activity, and the cold air will move in.

Strong, cold, south-west winds will replace the warm, north westerlies.

The icy cold winds of winter will move in overnight, and there may be some snow flurries on the southern ranges around the Barringtons to Walcha.

Cold, partly cloudy but fine across the region, with clear skies in the north.
