BROWN WATER COMING OUT OF CENTRAL COAST TAPS

A number of residents living on the Central Coast say they’re fed up with the colour of the water coming out of their taps.

Suburbs impacted include Springfield, Point Clare, Narara, Bensville, Niagara Park, Lisarow, Gosford, Booker Bay, Umina, Woy Woy, Tascott and Wyoming.

Locals say the problem has been happening on and off since November.

In a statement, Central Coast Council maintains ‘…although not appealing, the water remains safe to drink.’

Council also says it has responded to calls over the discoloured water, including multiple site visits, flushing and sampling to resolve the issue.
