GAV’S WEATHER | A COLD START TO MAY IS ON THE WAY

The Autumn cold fronts are finally beginning to have an impact across southern Australia.

A large cloud band is right now making its way across the region.

The approaching cold front will significantly drop temperatures, after delivering widespread rain to the Murray Darling food bowl.

Tomorrow’s system – the strongest yet this year – will bring some wild weather, including storms, heavy down pours, snow and small hail.

Locally, the front will move through on Thursday – expect strong NW to NE winds, building into the afternoon.

Meanwhile, it’s still clear skies for the northern half of the country.
