EAST GOSFORD CAFE TOLD TO PACK UP DRIVE THRU

An East Gosford coffee spot has had its new drive through shut down by Central Coast Council.

Fahrenheit Cafe set up its takeaway option in car park spaces on Wells Street, adapting to new pandemic restrictions on March 23.

Today, a council ranger allegedly threatened the business with a $900 fine, per infringement, if signage was not removed.

“I’ve probably got a week or two trade left in me, if we don’t have this drive through. I understand, yes, the permit – we don’t have it,” said owner, Logan Dart.

He is now calling for flexibility, to keep his six full time staff in a job.

Central Coast Council has been approached for comment.
