ELDERLY MAN DIES IN LAKE MACQUARIE HOUSE FIRE

An 81 year old man has died in a house fire, in Lake Macquarie.

Emergency crews were called to the property on Bukkai Road at Wyee yesterday evening, to find the home engulfed in flames.

After the fire was extinguished, the elderly man’s body was recovered.

Police say the man was the sole occupant of the house.

Investigations into what caused the blaze are ongoing.
