A natural disaster declaration was today issued for the Central Coast.
The SES received around 1200 calls for help across the region on the weekend.
Hundreds of homes have been inundated by floodwater – and nearly 40,000 people are still without power.
“What it will mean is that people who’ve been severely affected can get assistance, but in addition to that there’s financial support for council to help clean up public assets and that’s really important because of all the floodwater we’ve seen.” -ADAM CROUCH – MEMBER FOR TERRIGAL
