SINGLETON POLICE FIND DRUGS, AMMUNITION, STOLEN GOODS

A man has been arrested after police say they found drugs, weapons and stolen motorbikes at a Hunter property.

It’s alleged a motorbike was stolen from a home in Singleton during an aggravated break and enter in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police later arrested the 26-year-old, and he was charged with several driving offences.

Officers returned to the property and allegedly seized a firearm, three motorbikes believed to be stolen, cannabis, cash, and a gel blaster.

The man will face Singleton local in late February.

In a separate matter, police are investigating firearms and rounds of ammunition which were stolen from a storage facility in the Hunter.

On Tuesday, a 32-year-old man took a firearm safe, firearms and ammunition to a storage facility in McDougalls Hill, which was secured before he left.

Around 9am yesterday police were called to the facility following reports two firearms and ammunition had been stolen.

Police are urging anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
