There’s been an exciting milestone reached at one Taree retirement village today…
Resident Ron Mitchell celebrating his 100th birthday, sharing in some cake and singing.
Born in the middle of World War 2 and having lived through the great depression – Ron says he’s seen it all and is determined for another 100 years.
“Surprisingly it doesn’t feel any different,” he says.
Ron says the invention of the aeroplane is one of his greatest memories.

Thanks for this feature on my grandfather Ron Mitchell! Always living such a health conscious lifestyle we knew he would make it to 100 yrs! He was however born in the middle of WWI 1918, rather than WWII, as you state.
