Workers at the Metford Confectionary factory face an uncertain future after it went into voluntary liquidation.
Employees say they were handed a letter at lunchtime on Friday, saying operations were ceasing immediately.
“We weren’t offered a redundancy package, no notice, no anything, so we’re just left out on the street jobless. No help offered for resumes.”
The factory employs 15 full-time workers – its New Zealand-based owner is yet to comment publicly on the situation.
