  • Two Sydney men have tackled a woman to the ground after she allegedly used a machete to hold-up a busy supermarket at Neutral Bay. The 31-year-old woman allegedly began stealing items behind a Woolworths service counter, and pulled the machete on staff when she couldn’t get cash registers open. The men grabbed her and held her until police arrived.
  • The jury in the murder trial of Gold Coast man Gable Tostee has begun its third day of deliberations, after admitting they are struggling to reach a verdict.
  • A visit to the GP is set to cost 78 dollars for a standard 20 minute consultation, after the AMA recommended the increase.
  • A driver is recovering in hospital after her car flipped and landed on its roof at Bondi Junction in Sydney’s East this morning.
  • A cleanup is underway on Queensland’s world heritage listed Fraser Island, after hundreds of clumps of oil were washed up along a 50 kilometre stretch of beach.
  • And President Obama has handed out some advice to republican nominee Donald Trump ahead of the third and final presidential debate tomorrow. He’s told Trump to stop whining and concentrate on winning votes.
