CHARGES LAID OVER TWEED HEADS HOME INVASION

A man and a woman from Queensland have been charged over a home invasion on the state’s Far North Coast last month.

It’s alleged the pair entered a home in Tweed Heads South and stole a number of items including a mobile phone, laptop and gaming device.

Police were called to Seymour Street just after 2am on October 27 over the alleged break and enter.

After several inquiries, police searched a home in Bogangar on Monday afternoon and allegedly found a mobile phone, credit cards and documents.

The pair, both aged 20 years, were charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence.

The man is due to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on Tuesday, while the woman will apear at the same court early next month.
