GAV’S WEATHER | MORE HEAT AND SMOKE HAZE, BEFORE RAIN

Cloud is streaking down across Queensland and now New South Wales.

Rain is falling under that cloud in Queensland and the far north-west of New South Wales.

Clear over the centre and west with a strong system approaching the south-west.

The deepening trough will continue to deliver moderate to heavy falls over Queensland for another 24 hours but drift back towards the north.

Another high is moving out over the Tasman ensuring the northerly winds continue driving up the temperature in the coming days worsening the bushfire situation and maintaining the smoke haze south of the fires.

Another cloudy day for most with smoke haze and poor air quality for areas south of the bushfires thanks to the ongoing northerly winds.
