TWO CHARGED AND MORE THAN $3 MILLION OF ILLICIT DRUGS SEIZED

Police have charged two men after dismantling a large-scale drug lab on the Central Coast.

After extensive investigations, strike force detectives tried to stop a black Toyota Kluger on Burns Road at Ourimbah, just after 5pm yesterday.

Police allege the Kluger rammed two police vehicles, damaging one and injuring a male Senior Constable, before two people in the car ran away.

Detectives arrested two men, aged 35 and 48, nearby a short time later, before they were taken to Wyong Police Station.

Police later searched an Ourimbah home, where they seized drug paraphernalia, $220,000 cash, an electronic stun device, and a ballistic vest.

Just after 9pm last night, they also search a rural property in Kulnura, also on the Central Coast.

During a search of a shed on the property, officers seized more than 10kg of methylamphetamine, a large amount of methylamphetamine oil, more than 20kg of precursor chemicals used to manufacture drugs and other equipment.

All items and substances seized during the operation will be forensically examined.

Both men were handed several charges in relation to commercial drug manufacturing and supply, as well as a number of other charged.

Both were refused bail and appeared at Wyong Local Court today.

They were formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on November 2.
