A man in his 50s has been airlifted to hospital after he fell from the roof of his home in the Hunter Valley and landed on a garden stake.
The 56-year-old was taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition, after the accident at Lochinvar on Monday morning.
He was stabilised at the scene by paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team, with the stake left in situ for the flight.
