TEENAGER ROBBED AT KNIFE POINT AT COOLANGATTA

There was a frightening ordeal for a 17-year-old boy at Coolangatta overnight, after he was bailed up by a man armed with a knife.

The teenager was walking along Marine Parade just after 9:30 on Monday night when a car pulled up beside him, with a passenger in the hatchback demanding the young man’s phone.

He handed over his iPhone XR, earphones, jewellery and cash, before the offender fled in the white vehicle, similar a Holden Astra, with red P-plates displayed in the back window.

The man’s described as being in his late teens and around 168cm tall with a slim build and moustache.

At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a puffer jacket, dark clothing and black shoes.
