BYRON SERVO ROBBED AT GUNPOINT

A masked-bandit is on the run after robbing a Byron Bay service station at gun-point overnight.

Police say the male offender entered the Bay Shore Drive BP armed with a pistol at around 10.30 and demanded cash.

The 18 year-old male attendant who was closing down at the time, complied.

The offender is described as being in his mid 20s, about 180 centimetres tall, with short redish-blonde hair.

He was wearing a grey jumper at the time.
