CONNOR WATSON NOMINATED FOR KEN STEPHEN MEDAL

He doesn’t do it for the recognition, but Knights hooker Connor Watson is still honoured to be nominated for the Ken Stephen Medal, for his work mentoring indigenous youth.

“I just enjoy giving back, I’m in a lucky position to be able to do what I do for a living, there’s a lot of kids out there that didn’t have the upbringing that I did so if I can be a positive influence on them, that’s what I’m trying to do,” said Watson.

The award recognises NRL players who have spent plenty of time off the field supporting charities and the community.
