Former New England MP Tony Windsor hasn’t committed to a return to politics, but says he’s still seriously considering it.
Mr Windsor’s political career spanned 22 years before he bowed out in 20-13.
However, he’s maintained a strong interest in the region, and says he’s unimpressed with the current member’s performance.
“I’m still interested, I see some disasters happening, some of them to do with the Minister for Water Barnaby Joyce, his neglect of the Liverpool Plains ground water issues, the Great Artesian Basin.”
Windsor is expected to make a final decision within the next couple of months.
