TENTERFIELD RECEIVES A DROP OF RELIEF THROUGH NEW DESALINATION UNIT

The Tenterfield community will no longer run dry, thanks to the delivery of a brand-new desalination unit.

The unit, supplied by drought relief organisation Rural Aid, is housed in a large container that connects to Tenterfield’s water filtration system.

Currently, one in every 10 litres is discarded through the system, meaning the town was losing 70-thousand precious litres every day.

That same amount will now be fully processed by the unit – with every drop of the saved water going straight back to the dam.
