25-YEAR-OLD KILLED IN LAKE MUNMORAH CRASH

Tragic news on the Central Coast overnight, with a 25-year-old man killed in a crash at Lake Munmorah.

The man was behind the wheel of a Subaru Forrester when it collided with a Ford Ranger at the intersection of Elizabeth Bay Drive and the Pacific Highway just before midnight on Saturday.

Police have said the Subaru left the roadway and rolled, before it struck a nearby footbridge.

Despite the best efforts of first responders, the Gorokan man couldn’t be saved.

The driver of the Ford, along with her three passengers were taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital for treatment.
