Coffs Harbour’s Saltwater Freshwater Festival has received a funding boost, with the state government contributing $60,000 for an arts and cultural event for indigenous people.

“very excited to recieve some funding from Create New South Wales for the Saltwater Freshwater Deadly project which is an open mic series for aboriginal communities up and down the mid north coast”

“next year its 10th anniversary we’ll have have a bigger and better festival and this money goes toward supporting local aboriginal artists and musicians.”

The Australia Day event, which was held for the first time last year, at the Jetty Foreshore attracted as many as 15,000 people.
