GAV’S WEATHER | BLUES SKIES BEFORE WINTER CHILL RETURNS

There was very little cloud coverage across the nation but it won’t last for long as wild, wintry conditions bare down on the south-east.

While the country is still dominated by a large high pressure system sitting off the south-west, there is a succession of fronts that are headed for the south-east which will produce good fall across Victoria, coming down as heavy snow in the Alpine districts.

Unfortunately, that much needed rain won’t make it to the Hunter.

Looking ahead, another fine, clear, sunny, winters day is on the way after a cold start with inland frosts and westerly winds.
