BROMHEAD DEFENDS CANDIDATE ‘NO SHOW’ & ANNOUNCES FUNDING FOR BOATING PROJECTS

The member for Myall Lakes has been forced to defend his decision NOT to attend a ‘meet the candidates’ event in Tuncurry last week.

Stephen Bromhead has been criticised for skipping the meeting last Wednesday.

But he says he’s already attended two forums and can’t go to everything.

“I’m the local member and being a local member stop because there’s an election going on.”

Mr Bromhead made the comment while announcing almost $2-million in funding for boating projects in the Taree and Great Lakes regions.

$1.89 million will be used to improve boat ramps, parking and install pontoons at 11-locations around the region.
