POLICE CAR RAMMED AT MOREE

Police are appealing for information, after a marked police car was rammed at Moree in the early hours of this morning.

An unknown driver of a Toyota Rav 4 – believed to be stolen – began tail-gating the police car at around 1am on Frome Street, driving erratically and shining a bright light into the rear of the vehicle.

Police attempted to turn right into a carpark.

The driver rammed the car, causing it to spin 180 degrees and sending it onto the opposite side of the road.

Thankfully, the two officers weren’t injured.

The driver fled the scene and the Rav 4 was later found on fire in a vacant block on Delander Street.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
