Far North Coast surfer Soli Bailey has avoided the dreaded elimination round of the Margaret River Pro.
The 23-year-old got busy early in the round one this afternoon, establishing a couple of decent waves to give himself the lead.
“A little more venom than he had previously you see here nice big wrap, good punctuation at the end of it and just drives the rail around.”
Japan’s Kanoa Igarashi took out the heat.
Bailey finished second – which is enough to see him jump straight to the round of 32.
