47-YEAR-OLD WOMAN CHARGED AFTER STABBING PARTNER IN THE HEAD AND CHEST

A man is recovering in hospital, after he was allegedly stabbed in the head and upper chest at around 11pm on Monday night.

Officers were called to a Sue Crescent home in West Tamworth after neighbours issued a noise complaint.

The man was rushed to Tamworth Base Hospital where he spent the night in the Intensive Care Unit.

He is now reported to be in a stable condition.

His 47-year-old partner was arrested nearby and charged with maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm.

She was refused bail.
