It’s been a long time coming, but Newcastle’s light rail fleet is officially complete, with the sixth tram up and running.
The six vehicles will be rotated with no change to the current timetable.
Transport New South Wales says two will remain in the depot at all times, allowing for minimal disruption in case of an emergency.
Trams run every seven and a half minutes on weekdays, and every 15 on weekends.
