QUEENSLAND SOAR HIGH IN STATE OF ORIGIN PARAGLIDING VICTORY

The maroons are heading home triumphant, after winning the State of Origin Paragliding competition at Mount Borah, on the weekend.

The Blues were defeated by a single point after 3 days of intense flying – female flyer Sarah Allen helping Queensland claim victory.

While most of the 200 competitors came away unscathed – day three was called off early when one pilot crash-landed.

The man was flown to Royal North Shore Hospital, with suspected spinal injuries.
