Tamworth’s iconic Big Golden Guitar will come under new management, from July 1st.
Tamworth Regional Council is taking over the popular tourist site.
It’s assuring residents the beloved guitar will remain as it is, with only a few minor structural changes.
The wax museum is undergoing an upgrade, while the gift shop will close in May.
There are also plans in the works for the construction of a National Guitar Museum at the site.
